Toast of CIBC Toastmasters is chartered on April 18, 1994. Toast of CIBC Toastmasters is an open club. Anyone is welcome to join our club to improve their communication and leadership skills.
President Message
Welcome to Toast of CIBC Toastmasters,
Unlike its name, Toast of CIBC Toastmasters is not limited to CIBC employees. In fact, it is an open club with many of our members working within the financial district who have joined the club and are now active members of the club and executive committee. Celebrating its 23rd anniversary this year, Toast of CIBC Toastmasters has been a President/Selected Distinguished Club consistently over the past 12 years and is committed to continue the culture of excellence.
This success has been only possible with efforts of members and the executive committee. We all share the same goal when we get together at each Toastmasters session; improving our communication and leadership skills and helping other members to achieve their individual goals. It is only by achieving this common goal that we can grow as individuals and build a more successful club.
I would like us to live by the 3 simple Cs; Create, Collaborate and Contribute. We 'create' when we give an original prepared or impromptu speech. We 'collaborate' by attending each meeting and taking roles. We 'contribute' to each other's success by giving feedback to our peers at the club. It is through creating, collaborating and contributing that we grow individually, help others to grow and build a supportive club atmosphere.
We always welcome guests. If you are close by, visit our club on Thursdays 12:00-1:00 PM to learn more about Toastmasters and give us your feedback. There is always something new here, whether you are new to Toastmasters or an avid speaker.
